We’ll meet at the tasting room for Long Meadow Ranch Vineyards and Maria and her truffle hound, Flora Jayne, will do a truffle hunting demonstration and she’ll explain how she’s been training her dog to find our native truffles in the forest and scout for them on truffle orchards. We'll then have a truffle tasting and wine pairing with Long Meadow Ranch Vineyards. Maria will give a talk about the history of truffles and how they so thoroughly seduced humans, as well as their vital roles in the ecosystem and the cultivation of them taking place world-wide.

The truffle smelling and tasting will include different kinds of truffles, like our native Oregon spring white truffles shaved over Pennyroval Farm Reserve Tome, Burgundy truffles with Laychee fresh cheese, Perigord truffle will be shaved over Velvet Sister's creamy sheep cheese. We'll finish with Oregon black- honey truffle panna cotta.
